Does it look like a rainbow? That is not the main point of the project.
All painting students learned how to mix paint colors. Students even got to choose their own subject matter.
Three primary colors are: red, yellow, and blue. These are untouchable and cannot be mixed to get either of these hues. Think of Superman!
The three secondary colors: orange, green, and purple. These are made with the primary colors.
The six intermediate (tertiary) colors are: red-orange, yellow-orange, blue-green, yellow-green, red-violet, and blue-violet. These are made with the primary and secondary colors.
All 12 colors make up the color wheel. When put together, you, the viewer, can see the color spectrum.
