Attention parents of 8th grade students: There will be an informational meeting on Monday, March 7 at 6:00 pm in the PJHS auditorium. The purpose of this meeting will be to go over the high school course registration process. A letter was sent home with students yesterday containing more information.

March is Music in our Schools Month! Four events are happening to celebrate...
1. Thurs March 3, a handfull of our band students are attending the Area Honor Band Festival at Taylorville HS! Concert at 6:00 in the West Gym
2. On Saturday, March 5, many of our HS Band and Choir students are attending IHSA Solo and Ensemble Contest in Carlinville.
3. Thursday March 10 at 7:00 is our Music in Our Schools comcert, featuring all our Junior and Senior High Choir and Band Students!!!
4. Finally, the Drama club will present "Disney's High School Musical: On Stage" on Thurs, Fri and Sat March 31, April 1-2 starting at 7:00pm.

We are hosting a pep rally open to the public to support our Girls and Boys Basketball teams as they advance in the post season on Wednesday 3/2. Doors open to the public at 1:45. Go Panthers!
The students have been working really hard to earn points in Get More Math. We are planning a sundae party for a reward. Students have achieved different levels to receive different parts of the sundae. We are looking for donations to help celebrate their accomplishments. Please sign up for any of the following items. Read Across America and Book-"March Madness" is happening at Lincoln School!!
PHS will be taking a student fan bus to the Girls State Tournament. The bus will leave at 12:15. The bus will return after the 2:30 game. There is no charge. Students will need money for food and drink. Students should sign up in the HS office. Go Panthers!

Come out and support our Girls Basketball team as they are headed to the State Tournament. We are hosting a pep rally on Wednesday 3/2 to let them know we are behind them as they head off to Redbird Arena! Doors open to the public at 1:45.
Pana High School will be hosting a pep rally in support of both our Girls and Boys Basketball teams tomorrow, Wednesday 3/2/22. The community is invited to attend. The doors will open at 1:45. The festivities will begin at 2:10.

Congratulations to the Lady Panthers on their Super-Sectional win tonight over Carterville. They will play at 2:30 pm Thursday, March 3rd, at Redbird Arena in Normal vs Quincy Notre Dame. In order for everyone to be able to make it the game, Pana CUSD 8 schools will be dismissing early. Washington and Lincoln Elementary schools will be dismissed at 11:45 am. Pana Junior High and Pana High School will be dismissed at 12 pm. Go Panthers! For students that RIDE THE BUS to return home, they will be dismissed at 10:50 am from Washington/Lincoln schools and at 11am from PJHS and PHS. Go Panthers!
PHS Intro to Art Students are working within a Clay-Ceramics unit of hand-building. Enjoy the Coil Construction containers. Beautifully accomplished. Soon these will be fired in a kiln next week from brittle mud to glass like structures.
