The National Honor Society will be hosting a blood drive on October 30th at the Pana High School . This blood drive will count towards our Red Cross Scholarship that the senior class can earn up to $5000. All students will earn an extra credit card if someone donates for them.
PES Families: The PTO fundraiser items will be delivered Monday, October 21. We will need lots of help to sort the delivery beginning around 2:00pm, and will then need help throughout the evening until 6:00pm. Please message Mrs. Lehn at jlehn@panaschools.com, on ClassDojo, or by calling the school at 217-562-1510 if you are available to help at all during this time.
Families can pick up their items between 4:00-6:00pm that evening (Monday, October 21st). None of the fundraiser supplies will be sent home with students at normal dismissal time. Thank you for helping support our school!

The Multiplication Carnival came to the 4th grade hallway today at PES! Students had a blast moving from game to game to review their multiplication facts! Next up: multiplying larger numbers!

PJHS students and teachers have been reading The Wild Robot by Peter Brown. The movie was released at the end of September, so students have been discussing similarities and difference between the two. The famous questions is, which is better - book or movie?
As Kindergartners learned about fire safety this week, teachers read the book Lou, by Breanna Carzoo, and did some fun activities. Students LOVED the book. They said it was amazing, funny, and they laughed hysterically!

We have over 60 members this year in Student Council and Mrs. Hardimon could not be more grateful for all the hard work they put in to Homecoming week! There were over 300 students who attended the dance!
Next Wednesday, October 16 at 6:30pm in the PHS Gymnasium, the Music Department will present our first concert of the year! Our Fall Demonstration Concert will feature the 6th Grade Beginning Band, 7th/8th Grade Choir, 7th/8th Grade Band, High School Choir and High School Marching Band/Color Guard as the students and directors demonstrate the amazing musical learning that happens each day in class. The concert will last about an hour and half. Admission is free with donations gratefully accepted. You are cordially invited to attend this event to help support our musical students and directors!
