The junior high boys basketball game tonight in Cowden has been cancelled. Sorry for any confusion. If you are in the area, head over to Beecher city to watch some freshman basketball.

Jr. High Student Council fundraiser orders are in! Orders will be sent home with students on Wednesday, December 1st. If your child had a large order, please make arrangements to pick it up here at the school. Thanks so much for supporting our school! Go Panthers!

Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 from the PHS Crew!

Mrs. Smith’s Kindergarten had a great thanksgiving feast. We learned all about the First Thanksgiving. We made placemats, Pilgrim and Native American hats, Turkey bags, and we ate some good food.

Making butter as part of our Thanksgiving celebration has become a First Grade tradition. Mrs. Schmitz’s class had fun “churning” cream into butter that we enjoyed tasting on crackers.

Advanced chemistry students began an analysis of baking soda today in class. The students used Bunsen burners and crucibles for the analysis of the sodium bicarbonate.

The chemistry students learned about excited electrons by doing a flame test lab today in class.

Winner… Winner…. Pizza Dinner…Mrs. King’s class enjoyed a pizza party for being the class that sold the most items at Lincoln School in the PTO fundraiser. Thanks to PTO for buying us pizza, and Pizza Man for making our delicious pizza.

What an accomplishment!

Physical science students have been studying the periodic table in class this past week. Today the students did a "hands on" lesson in which the periodic trend of atomic radii was explored. Students created a 3D model of the atomic radii for the first 40 elements.

It’s Math Mystery Day in Mrs. Schmitz’s class. Students had to solve math riddles from The Great Zoo Escape to earn clues to figure out which animal was on the loose. There were lots of laughs, prizes, and learning!

Third grade took a cue from the book "Balloons Over Broadway '' by Melissa Sweet and treated Lincoln School to our own Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. They proudly strolled through the halls displaying their balloon creations. You can see it on YouTube with the link below.
