Mrs. Hardimon's Geometry students have started doing constructions using DESMOS! Today we constructed and then compared the Circumcenter and the Incenter of a triangle!

The gym is a hive of activity! Our K-5 students are combining the 100-Mile Club with another fun activity in the center, all happening simultaneously in the gym. Thanks to two amazing teachers, Mrs. Bowker and Mr. Malisia for making it happen! 🏃♀️🏃♂️

Tonight's boys basketball game at Gillespie has been postponed. The game will be rescheduled to Saturday, Feb. 1 with the freshman game tipping off at 11:00, followed by JV and then the Varsity contest.

Due to weather conditions, Pana Schools will be closed today, January 10th.

Since it's too cold to go outside and play in the snow, Mrs. Simpson's classes brought the snow inside to play!

The ❄️and frigid temps might be bringing you down but this fun music video, created by our amazing PES staff (originally created for our students to watch before we left on break), is sure to brighten your day! ☃️☃️ https://tinyurl.com/y4488tnr

Good afternoon!
This is just a reminder that FAFSA is open and we are encouraging all students who are or MIGHT go to a college or trade school in the 2025-2026 school year to fill this out as soon as possible. Students will need at least one guardian to complete this with them. Both students and guardians will need and FSA ID. Students were given this information in their Senior Handbook at the beginning of the year, but a copy of this can be found on the PHS Counselor Connection Page on the Pana Schools Website.
We have a lot of scholarships opening up this semester! Students can find these on Google Classroom, in the emails, or they can be found by all on the PHS Counselor Connection Page on the Pana Schools Website.

Your Lady Panthers will play host to Vandalia tonight. The varsity game will be FIRST at 6:00, followed by a modified JV game. Be there to root on your Pana girls basketball team!

We would like to congratulate our December First National Bank December Senior of the Month, Noah Gorenz! Noah is the son of Nick and Naomi Gorenz. Noah has been involved in Track and Field and Golf all four years of high school. Noah is a two year member of the National Honor Society. He has been a part of the Scholastic Bowl team, Foreign Language Club, and FFA. In his spare time Noah enjoys golfing, helping with concession stands, FFA activities, and helping with the Oconee Fall Festival. After high school Noah plans to attend Lake Land College and then transfer to a university. Congratulations Noah!

All sporting events today are cancelled. Junior high boys basketball will now play Litchfield on January 20th. High school boys basketball will play Mattoon January 28th. Girls basketball with Pleasant Plains will not be rescheduled.

Due to inclement weather and road conditions, Pana Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 7th.

Panthers Fans, tonight’s girls basketball game has been POSTPONED. There will be no game tonight. We will announce a new date here when we have one.

Please see the attached map with reminders regarding traffic flow during arrival and dismissal at Pana High School. Please stay alert and pull forward when appropriate in the circle drive.

Due to inclement weather, all Pana CUSD 8 schools will be closed on Monday, January 6th.

🚗 Reminder for all PJHS parents! Please follow our drop-off and pick-up procedures to keep our school safe and efficient. Your cooperation makes a difference!

Pana Elementary School would like to share a few friendly reminders about arrival and dismissal for the 2nd half of the school year!
1) There are 2 lines of traffic (as shown in the photos) for arrival and dismissal. These lines of traffic merge once near the school. These lanes are coned off. Consistently there has been no dropoff line after 7:55 a.m. each morning.
2) At pickup, Kindergarten & 1st grade parents should display/show their child’s name placard to the PES staff member assisting with dismissal. All 2nd-5th grade parents should display their child’s name placard in their window as they drive forward in the pickup line.
3) During dropoff & pickup, traffic should pull all the way forward towards the playground at PES until stopped by a staff member.
Thank you for your continued patience and focus on student & staff safety during arrival and dismissal at Pana Elementary School!

Pana High School Student Council held an animal shelter donation drive for three local animal shelters.
Mrs. Hardimon would like to personally thank the amazing generosity of the students and the community. We were able to donate a large overflowing tote of donations to each shelter!
Donations included cleaning supplies, food, treat, toys, blankets, and more!

Mrs Ruppert's Fall Semester Jr High Exploratory Ag wrapped up the semester in the wood shop. Students made some great snowmen to take home and enjoy!

3rd graders and their families had a sweet time building gingerbread houses together at PES!
