3rd Grade Teachers at Lincoln Elementary are using “March Madness” to promote math and reading fun. Students will be reading and comparing books by voting on favorites to move on in the brackets. They will be reinforcing a few of the reading skills by setting a purpose for reading and focusing on comprehension, fluency, prediction, main idea and summarization. Math skills like predicting, sorting, grouping and data collection are also addressed in this fun activity that reinforces our IL State Standards in a fun and engaging way.
