Building skills and having fun in the STEM room! Our K-2 students tackled the Candy Tower challenge, using creativity and problem-solving to create the tallest tower. A 2nd grader emerged victorious with an 8-inch masterpiece!

Congratulations to Kadence Rochkes and Amber Smith. Kadence won the South Central Conference Cross Country Championship with a time of 21:30! Amber made the All-Conference team with a time of 24:28. It was a great day to be a running Panther!

Congratulations to our young musicians who were selected to this year's ILMEA (Illinois Music Education Association) District 5 Ensembles! It is quite an accomplishment to be chosen for these ensembles. These students will represent Pana Junior and Senior High at the ILMEA Jazz Festival on Monday, November 4 and at the ILMEA Concert Festival on Saturday, November 23 at Eastern Illinois University. We are proud of you!

The Pana Junior and Senior High School Bands and Choirs recently presented their annual Fall Demonstration Concert. It was a wonderful evening that showcased the higher-level learning that happens daily in their music classes. The audience enjoyed performances by the 6th Grade Beginning Band, 7th-8th Grade Choir, 7th-8thGrade/HS Combined Bands, and HS Band and Color Guard. Congratulations to all the students and their directors on a great performance!

Today we enjoyed a STEM challenge from Miss Hahnenkamp in the STEM Lab to create a candy tower using a limited supply of tooth picks and candy. The class discussed shape and structure ideas to get started. We may have some future architects in the room! Thanks for a fun and creative lesson Miss Hahnenkamp!

ATTENTION!!! New rodeo stars will be born during the wild and crazy "Dairyland Donkey Basketball Show" at Eye of the Tiger Gym in Tower Hill on October 26th starting at 7pm! It's basketball played on real, live donkeys and it will be wilder than a rodeo and funnier than a circus! All local players will be riding so come out and see someone you know try to ride a donkey and play basketball at the same time. It's a thrill a minute, a spill a minute! Laugh as you've never laughed before at the wild and crazy Donkey Basketball show! This fun-filled show is being put on my Pana High School Capturing Kids Hearts group! All proceeds will be for the benefit of the community and the students through different good deeds and incentives CKH puts on! Advance tickets can be purchased from embers of CKH Club, at the Pana High School front office or online! Can't attend? Consider buying a ticket a donating it to a student! Tickets may also be available at the gate if there is space available! Today we are introducing some players from our Local Celebs team! Want to join in on the fun!? They need 3 more players! Congratulations to our September First National Bank Senior of the Month- Belle Anderson! Belle is the President of Capturing Kids Hearts, Student Council, National Honors Society, and Good Deeds Group. Belle is also the Senior Class President. Belle served as the 2024 Labor Day Parade Queen and was selected to attend the American Legion Illini Girls State in Charleston. Belle is also an active member of the girls Volleyball and Soccer teams. Belle has plans to attend SIUE to study nursing. Congratulations Belle!

The National Honor Society will be hosting a blood drive on October 30th at the Pana High School . This blood drive will count towards our Red Cross Scholarship that the senior class can earn up to $5000. All students will earn an extra credit card if someone donates for them.
