Ms Hahnenkamp’s class is learning about parts of a plant & what living things need to survive. Today they planted seeds (different herbs) to care for and watch grow. They will document their journey. They’re hoping to share the herbs with our cooks. Thanks to the ‘In the Trenches’ grant for our plant stand & grow lights!
Freshman Boys Basketball game tonight (at Hillsboro) has been postponed until next Thursday, Feb. 20th.
The Comp kids are participating in an extracurricular activity: drawing images from the “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” by the Beatles. By exploring music, students are able to apply their knowledge to poetry that will be read later in the unit.
On Wednesdays ALL PHS Art students complete a sketchbook drawing prompt. Featured today are the 4th Hour Painting students. The prompt is to recreate a still life of six art materials found in the classroom.
We are busy writing out Valentines for our pen pals at the nursing home.
Ms Hahnenkamp’s class is working on cursive and practicing their math facts using XtraMath.
Mrs Hahnenkamp’s class did a mystery location Skype this morning with a 3rd grade class from Maine. They were so excited to see Mr Bauer today so he could be a part of our circle time.
Pana Police Department shared some valuable information about online scams with Mrs. Watson's Media class today. Thank you Pana PD for all that you do to help keep us safe!
Sophomores and juniors had the opportunity to visit the OKAW vocational center. Students were in awe of the facility and are excited to take classes there next year!

What a great addition to our staff. Since the beginning of the year Miss Blessman has provided services for 268 individuals, 19 small groups, 134 classroom lessons and18 all school assemblies We value her service and honored her last week during National School Counselor Week.
The AG lady came to visit our classroom on Friday.
