Ms Hahnenkamp’s class learned about Smart Grids with Ms Ashley from the U if I Extension. They learned how to light up the neighborhood.

PJHS students are selling cinnamon rolls, dinner rolls, and pumpkin butter until Friday Nov. 22nd. We are asking for each student to sell at least 2 items to help support our school.
Students at PJHS completed an activity to remind us to start our day from a place of gratitude. All students created a link for our gratitude chain which will hang in the main hallway as a daily reminder.
Reading Mini-lessons have been enhanced with the integration of Nearpod! Now students can share their learning during the lesson.
Grace Fitzgerald and Lillian Shallenbarger were also selected and as October Students of the Month at PJHS. They were absent for last week’s photo.

PHS Students & Staff: Picture retakes have been rescheduled for Friday, November 22nd.
PHS National Honor Society will sponsor a blood drive on Tuesday, November 19th, from 8:30 am - 2 pm. Anyone 17 years or older may donate (16-year-olds may donate with a signed permission slip that can be picked up in the office). Seniors who donate or have a parent donate will be entered into the drawing for a $2500 scholarship.
Students had the opportunity to attend the Construction Trades and Apprenticeships Career Day. Several trades were present with lots of hands on activities!
Mrs. Morrell’s Second Grade had the opportunity to learn about electrical grids thanks to the U of I Extension Office.
