Third grade Art students at Lincoln created beautiful mixed media still life pictures!
Fourth and fifth grade Art students at Lincoln created beautiful fish pictures using cool and warm colors. They also mixed tints to show different values on the fish.
It was a beautiful morning for a run at PJHS. Mrs. Keeling and Mrs. Cothern's 5K Training class completed their final run this morning.
Mrs. Schutt's Gardening class enjoyed touring the gardens at Allerton Park on Thursday.

PHS 1st hour Intro to Art (High School Art students) successfully completed group work in creating a custom cardboard marble run. Fun was had by all!

Today Mrs. Epley's class did the egg drop challenge! Check out the video link to see which teams succeeded. Ms. Hahnenkamp dropped their egg containers that also utilized a parachute from a chair, the top of a ladder, and finally from the third-floor window. https://shorturl.at/nAH38
The High School Choir recently had a nice visit from Boone Elledge, 2021 PHS graduate and choir alumn. Boone is majoring in Opera Performance at Northern Illinois University. He sang for the class and then spoke with our students about majoring in music in college. The choir students also asked very insightful questions. Thank you for visiting, Boone!
4th graders ended their economics unit today by participating in a market day. Students had to design a product and sign for their booth. They used classroom money that they have worked hard to collect to shop at other students' booths. It was a successful day and there were so many unique items! Way to go 4th graders!
Mrs Ruppert's Exploratory Ag students finished up their second project for the semester, just in time for Mother's Day last week. They made some awesome planter box's that turned out great! We had a beautiful day on Friday for some flower transplanting to get them ready to take home for Mother's Day gifts.

The graduating seniors spent a fun day in St. Louis for their senior trip.
Good Deeds Group members enjoyed making blankets and giving them to our friends at Hickory Estates.
On May 9th, Ms. Hahnenkamp along with three fifth grade students, represented Lincoln School at the Students for Innovation Advocacy Day at the Illinois State Capitol. They showcased "Cricut Brings Us Together" to Senator McClure, Representative Halbrook, and other attendees.
PJHS will be hosting their annual Curriculum Fair on Tuesday, May 14th. Stop in to see student projects completed throughout the year.
Mrs. Mathis' 4th graders competed in a Hot Wheels challenge! Each team had to design a track that they thought would give their chosen car the most distance! The winning team's car traveled 18 feet, 1 inch!
