9/25 HOCO week Dress Up Day: DRESS TO IMPRESS. The students looked fabulous on picture day!
Mrs. Schafer and her second graders teamed up with Mrs. Hubbartt to design and test parachutes! This STEM activity complemented their reading lesson on smoke jumpers, highlighting the real-world applications of parachutes in firefighting!

We would like to congratulate our junior high softball team for a great season. The Lady Panthers became the first team in the history of our junior high program to win a regional, a sectional, and make it to state. The girls finished with an outstanding record of 14 wins and 5 losses on the season. Last Friday they played in the state tournament against Hardin Calhoun (21-2-1), the eventual class 2A runner up, and were defeated 1-0 (the closest game at state that day). The Pana school district is extremely proud of the junior high softball team for making this season truly a historic one.
Do you have a peppermint in your pocket? PES staff used strategy, social skills, and luck to seek out peppermints for prizes. It was the perfect Friday activity for staff to end the week. Several staff received treats, and Mrs. Collins was the grand prize winner of the Amazon gift card.

🎨PJHS 6th Grade Art🎨 Students are exploring some abstract and optical illusions around one subject matter. We are learning about lines, shapes, color, & positive-negative space! I'm proud of the 6th grade group for trying a new project out! #becreative🖍️#gopanthers🐾

Several classes at PES were visited by Ag in the Class this week, where students dove into fun, hands-on activities. A huge THANK YOU to Rebecca Niemeier for sharing her knowledge and making learning so engaging!
