📗The Frindle Files by Andrew Clements is the "One Book, One School" selection at PJHS! All students and staff members at PJHS received their own copy of the book, to keep, to begin this community reading event! PJHS students and staff are encouraged to begin following the weekly reading schedule that was handed out.
The purpose of One Book, One School is for students and their families and friends to find time to read TOGETHER - in the car, after dinner, before bed, etc. In the coming weeks, we have some amazing activites planned for students and families to work together and enjoy time together.
Thank you to the Pana Education Foundation for supporting this program through generous donations of purchasing books, program materials, and prizes!🏆
Together we can build a reading community! 📗🧡💙🐾

The PHS Yearbook Store is live! Reserve your student's yearbook at the link below ASAP, as extras won't be ordered this year. If you have a senior you'd like to honor, you can place an order for a half or full Senior Page at the School Store, as well (just scroll down the page a bit and click "Senior Ad"). Our publisher, Walsworth, sends a reminder email each month about yearbook purchases. To opt out of those emails, simply open the email and click "unsubscribe" and you will stop receiving them. If you prefer, you can order your yearbook by bringing cash for a check for $65 made out to Pana High School Yearbook. The FINAL day to order yearbooks is April 10, 2026.

🖋️All PJHS students and teachers received a "Frindle." Classes worked together to brainstorm where the name "Frindle" came from, why some have black ink and others have blue ink, and even made up their own stories with "Frindle" being a character! Students will soon learn why "Frindle" is so important for the One Book, One School program. 📗

6th Grade Students used their decimal skills to fill in a Guest Check with their favorite foods from Pizza Man of Pana. They found the subtotal, the tax and the total cost of ordering their yummy favorites. It's interesting to see how some students were very frugal and some threw caution to the wind and ordered well over $100. Now that's a lot of pizza!

Mrs. Simpson's Preschool classes are learning all about Fire Safety this week. We turned our dramatic play center into a fire scene with a dispatch center. During small groups, we painted flames by mixing red and yellow to make orange. We used the flames to save our bears from the fire and put them in a safe place.
