Due to extenuating circumstances the Lakeland College Financial Aid Program at Pana High School scheduled for this evening (1/11/24) has been canceled. We are attempting to reschedule and will notify the community as soon as we are able to set a new date.
PHS Intro to Art Students are exploring the medium of Block Printing. Students draw out their 5 x 7 inch animal + background. They trace the image with sharpie. Third step is carving - removing the unwanted white negative spaces. In a way - students are creating custom stamps!
We would like to thank Central Commodity FS for their donation to the Pana FFA Chapter. This generous donation will be used for future leadership conferences for our chapter members.
3rd graders in Mrs. King's class were learning about plural nouns today. Do you know how to spell puppy as a plural noun? Her students do!!!
We reviewed nouns and adjectives last week in Mrs. Crawford's class with a guessing game! Each student was given a secret noun on their headband. Their partner had to give them adjectives to describe the noun until they guessed correctly.
January 23rd will be MAP Testing & PHS First College & Career day of the year! Seniors will be expected to attend the college fair from 9-11am that day or go on a College or Career Day & provide proof to the office of their participation. Please contact Ms. Tackett to register.
Seniors & Parents: LLC will have a representative here for a Financial Aid Night on January 11, 2024 at 5:00p.m. in the Library. Students will not be completing FASFA during this time, but any questions you have about it will be answered for any college. See you there!
Mrs. Mathis' students were working on writing their one word resolutions today. What would your word be?
During TECH Time today, Mrs. Cross' students worked on an activity that combined math, coding, data analysis, and prediction in a single project. They tackled multi-step word problems. They coded "Bolt" to reach a target by using different speeds to reveal the answer to the problem. They recorded the speed and time it took to reach the target into a table. The table served as a tool to visualize the relationship between speed and time, facilitating prediction.
November and December character education winners from Mrs. Crawford's class. Olivia received the Kindness Kounts award for November, Kenzie received the November character trait award of Teamwork, Nova received the December character trait award of Responsibility, & Bentlee received the December Kindness Kounts award!
Game on!! Students in Mrs. Glick's 5th grade class played Kahoot to review place value, 3 digit by 2 digit multiplication, and adding/subtracting decimals today.
Teachers and students at Lincoln School took time this morning to review expectations around the school. It's awesome (and maybe a little tiring) to be back at school!
We made hot chocolate this week in Mrs. Crawford's class! We also made extra and delivered cups to staff around the building. I'd say these kids did a great job spreading some Christmas cheer! 🎄

Mrs. King’s class made gingerbread houses last week. Students designed and built their gingerbread houses with a budget of $1. Check out their structures! 🎄
This girl didn't miss any comprehension questions on the quizzes over Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She was rewarded with a candy bar of her choice. Way to go, Enzleigh!!
Mrs. Simpson's Preschool classes have been working hard on a directed drawing activity with reindeer. The students followed each step to draw their reindeer and then used water color paints to complete their drawing. They all turned out so cute!!
