Mr. Pierce's 8th-grade students submitted essays for the VFW Patriot's Pen essay contest. PJHS had four students who won awards at the district level.

Today was Buddy Day in Mrs. Simpson's Preschool class. We played Valentines Bingo, Heart Tic Tac Toe, Graphed Candy hearts, and did a STEM activity building hearts using different types of blocks. It was a fun day filled with Valentines activities!!











PE students at Washington played Corner Pocket today! We were working on striking with implements.



Congratulations to the 7th grade volleyball team! Junior Mid-State Conference Champs!


The Egg Drop team took 1st place at the Science Olympiad competition in Hillsboro. All teams successfully kept the egg safe. They determined the winner by the mass of their design. Our kids had a mass of 1.5. The 2nd place team's mass was 1.7. So close! Egg-cellent job!


The Balloon Racer and Straw Tower teams both finished in 2nd place at the Science Olympiad competition in Hillsboro. Fantastic job!



These teams placed 3rd in the following events at the Science Olympiad competition in Hillsboro: Anatomy team, Map Reading team, and the Pictionary team. Great job!




These kids participated in the Science Olympiad competition (the first time we sent a team) in Hillsboro. They competed in 8 different events and placed in 6. They did an amazing job!


Due to weather and poor road conditions all sports practices are canceled today 2/16/24.

If you enter Mrs. Hardimon’s Geometry classes on a Wednesday, you will often enter a laid-back atmosphere with background music and students working in groups. Student named "Group Work Wednesday" gives students an opportunity to relax, color, or do puzzles on worsheets created by Mrs. Hardimon herself. This week was a color by number on the properties of parallelograms!


Half days=Boomwhacker Days in Mrs. Chase's music classes!


Students in Mrs. Keeling and Mr. Butler's science class used their coding skills with Spehero Indi cars to match vocab words and definitions today.



Mrs. Pauley visited Mrs. Perry and Ms. Williams' Homesteading class to talk to us about first aid procedures.






Mrs. Perry's 6th grade math has been learning about writing and graphing inequalities. Here are a few pictures of one of the activities we completed.





Mrs. Anselm's Book Club at PJHS has been spreading KINDNESS by delivering Valentines to local nursing homes. Earlier this month, students made Valentines for the Book Club to deliver.


PHS STUCO offered Valentine Candy Grams this week and last! Students could send a card and candy to another student of their choice. We hope to have spread some joy!
