The First United Methodist Church in Pana is holding their VBS July 15-19 from 9-11:30 each morning, and are in need of at least a couple more volunteers to lead recreation and craft stations. Please contact Jenny Leon at jlehn@panaschools.com if interested.

We are now hiring for 2024-2025 School Year
Pana PTO has now opened a link for purchasing one (or more!) of their t-shirts commemorating Washington and Lincoln Elementary Schools. Shirts are $20 each. The order deadline is Friday, June 21. All orders will be shipped directly to you once the fundraiser has ended. Be sure to spread the word to those former students and staff members!

The last group of students has now left Lincoln and Washington Schools. These buildings have served the children of Pana well for 100 years. Next year, we will all enter the NEW Pana Elementary School. Thank you to Pana PTO for purchasing every student and staff member a commemorative t-shirt and to Mr. Tony Ambrose with Prairie Skycam for capturing some wonderful photos of us all in front of our beloved buildings.

A bittersweet farewell goes out to our amazing colleagues who are embarking on a well-deserved retirement! Your dedication and passion have shaped countless young minds, and your presence will be deeply missed. We wish you all the best in this exciting new chapter!

Taylor Cothern, 6th grade language arts teacher, was recognized Saturday evening by ISBE as a 2024 recipient for a Those Who Excel Award. She was awarded Special Recognition, which was given out to teachers who “have connected with their school community and made a positive impact”. Taylor was nominated for her role in bringing the EB Academics writing program to PJHS and her dedication to working alongside teachers as they implemented the program.
