Mr. Pierce's Communications class has released their first newscast for the year. They spent the first semester learning about video editing and broadcasting, now they are ready to use the skills they learned.

Mrs. King’s class enjoyed their MAP party today for having the most growth for their MAP scores! For their party, they chose to wear pajamas, bring blankets/pillow, eat popcorn, drink soda, and watch a movie!! What a fun afternoon!!
Lincoln School would like to congratulate the top Reading & Math Winter MAP test students in each grade level! Each student was able to call home in order to inform their parents/guardians of their tremendous achievements!

Mrs. Epley’s class was caught red-handed after letting the cat of the bag that we were giving our idiom presentations today!! Glad that only a few had butterflies in their stomachs before getting up in front of their peers!!

PJHS Money 101 class is learning about investing and making smart choices with money. The students played the Student Stock Market game for two weeks and the student that made the best investment was Joslyn.
State Representative Brad Halbrook spoke to 7th grade students on Tuesday at PJHS. Mr. Halbrook explained his role as a representative for the 102nd District and answered questions that they students prepared. Seventh grade students were finishing up their unit on Illinois history and government. We appreciate Mr. Halbrook taking time out of his day to meet with our students.
Fifth graders in Mrs. Maxedon's science class did an awesome job making photosynthesis models!

The PHS Writing Center is open to help PHS students with their writing projects. At the WC, Comp 2 students peer-tutor to help students develop their ideas and writing skills. This is open to all PHS students during 3rd hour Enrichment.
