3rd graders at Lincoln School had a visit from Graphic Packaging in Shelbyville today! They loved learning about how trees become paper, what happens at GPI, and why trees are important! They even got to pot their own trees in biodegradable cups to take home and plant! Mrs. Richards even got to visit with her dad, Mr. Rodman! He makes sure the machines that make cups stay up and running!
Mrs. Maxedon's class enjoyed making skulls while studying the bones and they loved wearing their sunglasses with them!
Looking for something to do tonight? Then head down to Salem to watch our Lady Panthers volleyball team play for the regional championship title against the Newton Eagles. Game time is 6pm and it will be electric. Don't miss it!!!
PJHS had 31 students earn High Honor Roll status for the 1st Quarter of the 2022-2023 school year! These students ended the quarter with straight A's. They have put forth their best effort all quarter long and their hard work paid off.

Pana FFA traveled to Indianapolis for the first day of Convention. They toured the swine facility at Fair Oaks Farm and took in the Rodeo.
Mrs. Reiss has some creative thinkers in her classroom!! Check out these awesome STEM projects that Mrs. Reiss’s students created. Students had to create a broom for four pumpkins to fit on by using 8 straws and tape. They did such a great job!!
Mrs. Maxedon's class had a blast making the tallest newspaper towers with just two sheets of newspaper and 5 inches of tape.
We have many back issues of the yearbook, and we are making them available for sale while supplies last. Any yearbooks that are from 2017 or older can be purchased for $25. Issues 2018 and newer are the full current price of $55.

Last Tuesday, Mr. Pierce's Communication class had the opportunity to visit the EIU campus in Charleston. They visited EIU's broadcasting department and got a behind the scences tour of their newscast. We can't wait for them to try out their new skills here at PJHS!
