Kindergarten finished a 2-D shapes unit in Math and ended the chapter with some fun hands-on learning with tangram puzzles.
Washington Art students learned about overlapping by studying the American Artist Laurel Burch. She liked to paint brightly colored overlapping animals.

Second grade Art students at Washington learned about the artist Matisse. They used the art element of form to create a cylinder fish bowl painting.
Mrs. Mathon's language arts classes are on a treasure hunt! They're solving riddles, annotating passages, and answering questions as a group. At the end, they'll get to help themselves to the chocolate treasure.
