
Students in Mr. Bonney"s class at Lincoln Elementary just finished up reading "Because of Winn Dixie" and celebrated with a dog party complete with invitations. They enjoyed there snacks while watching the movie and comparing it to the book!

Career Day was back at PJHS today! Eighth grade students completed career oriented activities and listened to 5 guest speakers representing the different career pathways. Thank you to Mark Holthaus, Grant Tice, Sara McRae, Dr. Craig Brown, Blair Angel, Dr. Tammy and Angel Lutz for making this day such a success!


Yesterday Mr. Lipe's drivers ed students listened to and received training from Ameren employees on how to successfully exit a vehicle if need be after hitting a power pole and dropping a power line on their car. This was put together by the distress bandana organization which provided all the students with a distress bandana to keep inside their car to help with roadside assistance.


PJHS & PHS Students are SO excited to showcase their hard work and talent at the annual Spring Music Concert. This year's ticketed event will allow 4 family members per student to attend in person. We also invite you to join us LIVE on Youtube (Pana Athletics) on May 7th beginning at 6:30 pm with the Junior High Concert. The High School concert will begin at 7:30 pm. Just a reminder:
If your student has any symptom of COVID--fever, new onset of moderate to severe headache, shortness of breath, new cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, new loss of sense of taste or smell, fatigue from unknown cause, or muscle or body aches from unknown cause; please have them AS WELL AS THEIR SIBLINGS stay home from school until they get a negative COVID test or a note from a doctor with a non-COVID diagnosis.
If you send the siblings to school, you will be called to pick them up until the required documentation can be obtained as the IDPH guidelines have not changed.. Thank you so much for your understanding.

Christian County Health Department will be in the high school commons area Wednesday, May 5th at 5:00 pm to give COVID vaccines. A parent or guardian must accompany any student under 18 years of age. Please plan on waiting 20 minutes in the commons after receiving the vaccine to watch for any reactions. Walk- ins are welcome that evening--you do not have to sign up at the school.

Did you know that the Red Cross will be coming to the Pana Methodist Church tomorrow, Thursday, April 29th from 1 pm - 6 pm and ANY parent who donates at this location will count toward the Pana High School goal (we need 72 units!)

The young singers of the Junior High Choir practice singing "Count on Me" in preparation for their Spring Concert! Families are invited to the concert on May 7 and the performance will also be livestreamed! Stay tuned!


Washington school students are playing a game called Repeat at 3. They are working on bouncing a ball into different sized bucket.

Pana High School will be hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, May 4th, from 9 am to 2 pm. Schedule your visit ahead of time by visiting redcrossblood.org and entering PanaHS.
A QR code on the flyer below will also send you to the scheduling link. If 72 units of blood are collected, one senior student will be the recipient of a $2500 scholarship through the Red Cross.

Today’s MORP dress-up day was Country vs Country Club!



Students at Lincoln Elementary have wrapped up the IAR state assessment for another year and we celebrated “Doing Our Best” today with root beer floats!!



Mrs. Amling’s U.S. History CP students presented over the 1970’s this week! Students were able to use a new projector thanks to the PEF grant & a new iPad/Apple TV thanks to her DonorsChoose grant! Students incorporated the STEM lab by playing songs from the 70s on guitar hero!




Congratulations to the PHS 2021 Court members. There will be a coronation ceremony before tonight’s football game at 6:20pm to crown the King and Queen!
