After performing a reader's theater activity about Veteran's Day in Mrs.Chernisky's class, students watched the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknow Soldier. You could have heard a pin drop!!!!

PJHS Staff and Students would like to thank all veterans for their service. On Tuesday, Mr. Miller and the Panther Den led the school in an assembly. They also led the school in raising over $100 for Folds of Honor which provides scholarships for military families.

Learning Outside At Lincoln School! What do you do with a sub shortage? Your principal combines two classes and takes you outside to learn. The mask break and great weather was wonderful!!
Assistant Principal for the day, Ms Blair Ade, got to job shadow Mrs. Millburg for a day as a reward for being top seller of our fundraiser this year. As her 1st declaration as AP she has declared that we will have Thursday 11/11/21 off and there will be no school on this day.!
The PHS Biology students are performing some simulations to model the work done by field ecologists. It’s a tough job performing mark and recapture techniques to estimate population sizes, but they’re nailing it!

Today was Book Character Day in First Grade. Mrs. Schmitz’s class had fun making projects and comparing the stories they’ve read.
Mrs. Reynolds’ class has been reading different versions of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Since Baby Bear’s chair broke in the story they were given a challenge to build a new chair and test it out.
In Mrs. Keeling's STEM class, students are studying natural selection and different fish characteristics that allow fish to swim the best. Students have tested a fish they built out of clay and now they are getting ready to build a second one with our 3-D printers.
Today, Kindergarten practiced our character trait of the month - working together! We worked in teams to see which group could melt an ice cube the fastest. The winning group had great teamwork and all worked together! They melted the ice cube in 6 minutes!

First grade has been learning all about different kinds of characters. These kids helped each other guess their secret character using key details and then create a setting for it! They did awesome 🤩

This is the weekend that we "fall back" and change our clocks- It is also the weekend that we should change the batteries in our smoke alarms... If you do NOT have smoke alarms, let me know and I will get you the forms to get those installed.....
