Mrs. Chernisky’s students learned and built catapults with Ms. Hahnenkamp. These students launched their pumpkins 🎃 over 180”. Great job!

Mrs. Pieper’s class is learning coding skills.

Mrs. Epley’s students were busy learning about candy towers. They designed & built their towers to see who could build the tallest free standing tower. This student’s tower stood 10 1/2” tall. It was the tallest of all the classes involved in the STEM challenge.

Lincoln Elementary held their mock election today, complete with voter registration cards, official ballots and 2 polling places in the building. Students took turns voting and received a voting pencil and an "I Voted" sticker. The 5th grade team and aides did a great job creating this activity and the 5th grade students ran the show!! The results came in and were announced just before dismissal with Biden at 44 and Trump at 182. This is a great opportunity for your family to open up a discussion about what a democratic society looks like and the fact that we all have the privilege to vote for our preferred candidate. If our opinion differs from that of our friend's opinion, then we have a great learning lesson here to agree to disagree respectfully!! Also, I would like to add a reminder that there is no school tomorrow (11/3/20) and to encourage you to get out and VOTE!

Walk like an Egyptian? Why not try writing like one? Mr. Emery’s World History students ended their unit by creating Egyptian cartouches on the 3D design platform, Tinkercad. Ms Skinner’s Technology Application students engineered the finishing touches on the 3D printers and voila!
𓋴𓄿𓈖 𓇌𓅱𓅱 𓎼𓅱𓇌𓋴𓋴 𓏏𓉔𓇌𓋴𓇌 𓄿𓅓𓇌𓋴
Whoops....in English, can you guess these names?

We hope you enjoy our 1st attempt at a virtual Halloween Parade. The kids had a great time showing off their costumes!! Happy Halloween from the students and staff at Washington School.
