
Miss Rodman and Mrs. Rodman teamed up to write letters to our troops for the holiday season! Together they were able to send 50 letters and pictures to those serving in our military! What a neat experience for our 2nd and 3rd graders to take part in!!

Ms Hahnenkamp’s 2nd graders finished their volcanoes 🌋 by painting and labeling the parts. They have learned so much about the layers of the earth, which layer magma is in, important nutrients in the soil & the way they are listed on the periodic chart, atoms/molecules, & states of matter.



Admission to the boys basketball game on Tuesday, November 26th, will be non-perishable food items for the Loaves & Fishes food pantry.

Attention all 5th Grade band students at Lincoln Elementary: The entire band will rehearse together on Tuesday, November 26th. Please bring your instrument on this day even if it is not your regular band day!

Mrs. Whalen’s students used algebra tiles to learn how to solve quadratics by “completing the square” this week.




Physics students used projectile motion equations to solve and predict where a ball rolled down a ramp will land horizontally on the classroom floor. Their data and predictions were excellent with many of the balls hitting the floor exactly on the predicted spot.

6th grader Rhylie Allen has been listening closely to the coal mining lessons in Reading, Language Arts, and Science. She brought in this book about the Pana Coal Mines as a personal learning connection!


Mrs. Crawford’s class snuck around the school today to find common and proper nouns. We were also practicing being a brave speller and sounding out the words as we added them to our chart.


What/Who: Holiday Band Concert (5th - 12th Grade)
When: Dec 2 at 5:30 PM
Where: Pana Junior High School
Students should be there at 5:00 with their instrument and music book, dressed in nice clothes (color does not matter) and may wear a holiday accent item if they wish.
