Yesterday, Lincoln School was grateful to have Mr. Hicks (district director of bands) stop by and introduce our 5th graders to a few instruments. Some students were even selected to test out a couple of the instruments!
5th grade students and their families have the opportunity to test different instruments at Lincoln School on Wednesday, May 10th. There are two time slots 2:30-4:00 and 5:00-6:30 for parents & students to stop by and try some different instruments.

Pana National Honor Society Blood Drive will be May 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Mrs. Perry's 6th grade students have been actively working on a geometry unit. We've used measuring tapes to measure objects around the school. We've calculated surface area of boxes and checked our work with wrapping paper. We've worked on spatial intelligence with pentominoes. Whew! Good work crew!

April 24th High School Softball game versus Vandalia has been cancelled today.
The Pana Jr High celebrated National Library Week! Students wrote thank you notes to Mrs. Scherzer and had a contest to see who could guess her favorite book. Brook McKinney's name was drawn from all the correct answers. Thank You to Mrs. Scherzer for being an awesome librarian!
Baseball and softball have been a roller coaster today but we think we can get them in.
Softball will be at Tanner Park and Baseball will be at our high school field but might have to start a few minutes later than expected. It might begin around 4:45-5:00 tonight to help get the field as ready as possible. Come on our and cheer both teams on for a conference win over Litchfield.
PHS Sculpture students are repurposing donated denim jeans into something new, or repairing an old pair into a revived pair of pants / jacket / bag. Japanese boro repair style. Simple hand sewing techniques were taught during this class. Fashion = 3D wearable art.

Softball will practice at Tanner Park 3:45-5:00

High School F/S meet in Piasa has been cancelled. Practice for all boys and girls will be from 3:30-4:30
Junior High track meet has been cancelled. No Practice this evening but there will be practice on Friday from 3:30-4:45
Girls Soccer game today has been moved to a 4pm start with NO JV game afterwards.
Baseball/Softball in Litchfield will have a decision made shortly about their games for this evening.
