Today we honored Mrs. Scherzer, our school librarian aide! Thank you for making the library a calm and welcoming room for everyone in the school to enjoy.
Sixth grade completed a mineral lab this week in science class. They observed mineral properties such as streak, hardness, color, and breakage patterns to help them correctly identify each mineral.

These 13 young singers are amazing! They rocked it at IHSA Organizational Contest in Williamsville on Friday night. We are bringing home an "Excellent" rating along with the judges' suggestions for future improvement! Congrats to the Pana High School Choir!
Pana FFA traveled to Newton for livestock judging. Members placed classes, 3 keep/cull classes, and a grading class. They evaluated cattle, swine, sheep, and goats. Team members were Wade Florey, Matt McFarland, Leeland Eilers, Hayleigh Manuel, Bailey Carnahan, and Zoie Wemple.
Huge shout out to all the volunteers that made the Pana Invite track meet a huge success.
The meet had 31 teams involved and started at 9am and got done at 2:20pm.
That has to be a record by itself but there were 4 event records broken this year as well with one being pole vault by Pana’s own Griffin Kimbrel setting a new meet record of 14’3.25”.
Boys were the meet champions and the girls had some great finishes as well. Pana fell just short of being the combined meet champions.
Great day to be a Pana Panther!
This week, the 8th-grade students perfected their interview skills in Mr. Pierce's class. Students had to choose a job and be interviewed by their classmates.

PJHS celebrated these students for "doing the right thing".
Third graders completed a contract for taking the IAR. One of the reward choices was to eat lunch with the teacher. We had so many kids choose to spend their lunch hour with us. They enjoyed cookies and cupcakes for dessert. What a fun morning!!
Lincoln School officially wrapped up the IAR state testing. During the testing, students were able to work towards raffle tickets that they could place in Incentive Envelopes. Students were able to earn up to 5 tickets to possibly win one of our great prizes. The students were VERY excited about the drawing!
We wanted to give a HUGE thank you to the local businesses that agreed to donate items for our students! Local businesses continue to go above and beyond for the students at Lincoln School and we couldn’t be more grateful!
Thank you to Pana Bowl, Roseland Theatre, Sparrow Bicycle Co, Christian County YMCA, Scoop’d, Anarchy, and Pizza Man.
