Mrs. Hardimon’s Geometry classes have spent the last 2 days doing an activity that visually shows congruent triangles. students used protractors and rulers to follow parameters to create specific triangles. The activity prepares students to successfully complete triangle congruence proofs!









What is currently happening in the PJHS Art Classroom:
Today...after students finished a one point perspective room drawing, students one by one are exploring the Cricut app & Cricut cutting machine. A shoutout is given to Emmett Ewing for volunteering as the first student to use the devices & produce a custom project. Way to go for being Artist of the week!

During American Education Week Lincoln School celebrated students and staff. The week was filled with dress-up days, an ESP luncheon, a visit from the High School Band, and the High School Capturing Kids Hearts Club visited for a play day. Special thanks to the Unit Office, Pana Education Foundation, and Peoples Bank and Trust for the extra goodies for our staff.










Mr. Lipe has been a part of the Pana staff for 16 years now and has taught Drivers Education and Physical Enhancement for 15 of them! We are very fortunate to have Mr. Lipe at PHS! Be sure to wave if you see him with our students behind the wheel!

Congratulations to PHS Seniors John Berns and Emma Stephens for being selected to attend the Illinois Music Eduxation Associatil state conference in January! John will be singing in the Vocal Jazz Choir and Emma will be singing in the Honors Concert Choir! John also had a composition, "Easter Hymn", earn Honorable Mention as part of the Composition Contest. We are so proud of you! Yayy!

PJHS Picture Retake Day is Thursday, November 30th. Forms are available in the office for students to pick up if they plan on having their picture retaken.

Congratulations to Mrs. Gardner's 1st hour class. They won the Grand Prize for PJHS Monopoly last week!
Students collected tickets all week for "Doing the Right Thing" and participating in American Education Week activities.

Ben Tarter (Mrs King's brother) came in today and talked to the third graders about turkey hunting. We appreciate him coming in. We always look forward
to this day!



Last night at the school board meeting, we recognized MacKinsey Perry for receiving a perfect score on her ELA IAR last year. MacKinsey is an excellent student who strives to do her best in all things.

On Friday, Nov. 17, PJHS celebrated American Education week with a "Twin or Famous Couples" dress up day and Turkey Waddle relay races at lunch. Students and staff had a great week making education fun!




American Education Week at the Jr High - Wed, Nov 15 dress up day "BBQ dads vs Soccer moms" and the activity on Thurs, Nov 16 was turkey bowling.
