Yesterday students from PHS Capturing Kids Hearts group were able to spend some time at Lincoln in the 4th grade classrooms talking to them about self-direction! We always enjoy our time with Lincoln Learners!

It's that time of year that we like to send a friendly reminder out about the process of adding funds to cover school fees or add money to lunch accounts. Please see the attached photo, it explains the process and shows the difference between the two fields. It is very important that these fees go into the proper sections to avoid hiccups in the accounts. If you have any questions, please contact your school.

Olaf came to Lincoln School today and stopped by Mrs. King’s class and greeted kids this morning!
PHS students are starting the year off right! We had 71 students who earned Exceptional Honors, 61 students who earned High Honors and 105 who earned Honor Roll status! We have a Grand total of 237 Honor Students at PHS!! Nice work!
Wednesday, Mrs. Perry took her welding classes to the Lake Land College Welding and Automotive Career Fair. Student were given the chance to speak with potential employers and tour the facilities.
Pana FFA Ag Sales team took 3rd place Wednesday night. Members included Wade Florey, Matthew McFarland, Wyatt Kile, and Issabell Reed. They competed in a team event and a individual sales event. Issabell was 4th high individual and Wyatt was 9th. Congrats!

This week, 8th grade students were engaged in a demonstration on understanding on how water can change a landscape over hundreds of years and how these changes can create new landforms.
PJHS Panther Den students helped out at the Pana Missions with getting winter coats ready.
Mrs. Simpson's Preschool classes would like to send a big Thank You to Echo Ambulance, The Good Deeds Group from Pana High School, Pana FFA, and our Panther cheerleaders for coming to hand candy out at our Trunk or Treat. We loved seeing all of the decorated trunks and costumes. Our students had a great time. Thank you again for helping to make our Preschool Trunk or Treat a success!
Good Deeds Group enjoyed playing BINGO and handing out treats to Washington schools's pre-school class during Trunk or Treat.
PHS Art Department would like to recognize our 2nd Artist of the week: Allie Sarver! Her current project is 3-D Paper Wreath. She took a risk and used technology to create a paper craft like project based on the theme of Fall-Halloween. Keep up the good work!

This week, Washington School is honoring our favorite principal with a Disney themed week of celebration. On Monday, Mrs. Wysong (Cinderella) arrived in a horse drawn carriage. Several special activities have been planned. This is Mrs. Wysong's final Boss's Day and we thank her for so many years of service to our community.
